Se declara obligatoria en todo el país la vacunación anual contra la Encefalomielitis Equina, en todo los equinos, cualquiera sea a su edad. Se registra la vacunación contra enfermedad en todo équido que haya sido inoculado entre el 1° de Agosto y el 30 de Septiembre de cada año. El registro en el SELSA se realiza desde la fecha de vacunación y hasta el día 10 de Noviembre de cada año. La vacuna empleada es inactivada y bivalente. Todo propietario debe tener registrada la vacunación en la Libreta Sanitaria. SELSA establecerá las medidas a tomar con respecto a los equinos enfermos.
