Resolución 546/2011
Apruébanse los signos distintivos del régimen de Indicaciones Geográficas y las Denominaciones
de Origen Nacional que lucirán los productos agrícolas y alimentarios.

VISTO el Expediente Nº S01:0270386/2011 del Registro del MINISTERIO DE AGRICULTURA,
GANADERIA Y PESCA, la Ley Nº 25.380 modificada por su similar Nº 25.966, el Decreto Nº 556 de
fecha 15 de mayo de 2009, y la Resolución Nº 587 del 23 de septiembre de 2010 de la SECRETARIA DE
AGRICULTURA, GANADERIA Y PESCA del MINISTERIO DE AGRICULTURA, GANADERIA Y PESCA,
y
CONSIDERANDO:
Que por la Ley Nº 25.380 (publicada en el Boletín Oficial de fecha 12 de enero de 2001) y su
modificatoria Nº 25.966 (publicada en el Boletín Oficial de fecha 21 de diciembre de 2004) se aprobó en
la REPUBLICA ARGENTINA el Régimen Legal para las Indicaciones de Procedencia y Denominaciones
de Origen de Productos Agrícolas y Alimentarios, cuyo Artículo 34 establece que la ex SECRETARIA DE
AGRICULTURA, GANADERIA, PESCA Y ALIMENTACION, dependiente del entonces MINISTERIO DE
ECONOMIA, actual SECRETARIA DE AGRICULTURA, GANADERIA Y PESCA del MINISTERIO DE
AGRICULTURA, GANADERIA Y PESCA, será la autoridad de aplicación de la misma.
Que asimismo, en su Artículo 16 sustituido por el Artículo 6º de la Ley 25.966, crea el Registro de las
Indicaciones de Procedencia y las Denominaciones de Origen de Productos Agrícolas y Alimentarios, en
jurisdicción de la Autoridad de Aplicación.
Que la mencionada Secretaría tiene especial interés en la creación de símbolos distintivos que identifique
a los productos argentinos que se encuentren registrados como Indicaciones Geográficas o
Denominaciones de Origen, distinguiéndolos con una imagen nacional, posibilitando el posicionamiento
de estos productos en los mercados y favoreciendo su colocación y comercialización.
Que estos símbolos nacionales acompañarían a la correspondiente etiqueta o embalaje de los productos
cuya denominación esté registrada como indicación geográfica o denominación de origen.
Que dichos símbolos contribuirán a la valorización de las indicaciones geográficas y permitirán a los
consumidores reconocer determinados productos cuyas características dependen de su origen
geográfico.
Que con el objeto de estimular su utilización, conviene facilitar a los consumidores la distinción entre

denominación de origen e indicación geográfica, propiciar el uso de colores diferentes en los símbolos
relativos a dichas categorías.
Que la Dirección General de Asuntos Jurídicos del MINISTERIO DE AGRICULTURA, GANADERIA Y
PESCA ha tomado la intervención que le compete.
Que el suscripto es competente para resolver en esta instancia de acuerdo a las facultades conferidas
por el Decreto Nº 357 de fecha 21 de febrero de 2002, sus modificatorios y complementarios.
Por ello,
EL SECRETARIO
DE AGRICULTURA, GANADERIA Y PESCA
RESUELVE:
Artículo 1º — Apruébanse los signos distintivos del régimen de Indicaciones Geográficas y las
Denominaciones de Origen Nacional que lucirán los productos agrícolas y alimentarios reconocidos en el
marco de la Ley Nº 25.380 modificada por su similar Nº 25.966; que como Anexo forman parte integrante
de la presente Resolución.
Art. 2º — Establécese que la SECRETARIA DE AGRICULTURA, GANADERIA Y PESCA del
MINISTERIO DE AGRICULTURA, GANADERIA Y PESCA, mediante los actos administrativos
pertinentes de reconocimiento, acordará el uso de los signos distintivos aprobados por el Artículo 1º de la
presente medida, según corresponda.
Art. 3º — Los recaudos y condiciones de uso de dichos signos distintivos serán regulados por el Registro
de las Indicaciones de Procedencia y las Denominaciones de Origen de Productos Agrícolas y
Alimentarios aprobado por el Artículo 16 de la Ley Nº 25.380, sustituido por el Artículo 6º de la Ley Nº
25.966, de conformidad a los requisitos generales y particulares establecidos por las leyes mencionadas.
Art. 4º — La presente resolución comenzará a regir a partir del día siguiente de su publicación en el
Boletín Oficial.
Art. 5º — Comuníquese, publíquese, dése a la Dirección Nacional del Registro Oficial y archívese. —
